I was just listening to the song I wont give up http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O1-4u9W-bns This song has totally been urging me to just keep plugging away. You know when an opportunity presents itself and you just cant figure out if you should jump or proceed with caution….that’s me…A friend approached me about a potential job opportunity, but oh honey I am NOT a business woman, I have to make a decision by 5pm….So back to listening to empowering music and thinking i go 😛
Happy Sunday all! Hope everyone’s week has been a smashing success. Mine was full of growing pains and i guess growing is a good thing. I am still on the search for a new job. Dream job at the moment would be as a personal assistant. I love getting people organized, I love shopping, cooking, cleaning, and keeping schedules and notes. So like I said sounds like a perfect job for me 😛
As for everything else. Sewing has been slow and haven’t done much lately. Exercising I am getting better at everyday. I get board easily so thank goodness I can go swim, do a Zumba class, go for a walk/run or do strength training.
The Cowboy and little cowgirl are good. She is all excited for Halloween and has gone to a few school dances! We all went fishing again yesterday. I got cold and impatient so came home early.
Here are some photos of the trip

Me and the Man
Also in other exciting news Sailor boy is feeling better and is now on pain medication everyday which seems to help. He started his new job last week. A few children who have suffered abuse are coming to see him and he is loving on them and showing them what a great horse he is. It melt my heart and makes me so happy he is able to have a purpose 🙂
Last but not least a little brag about my guy….today I am working a 24 hour shift…cant say that i like it at all but its what I’ve got and oh well….so my guy showed up to surprise me with these …
I almost cried on the spot! I am blessed and loved, even when things get rough and I am having a hard time finding my place in the midst of this crazy world. I am valued by those that matter the most and though words can hurt even though there is that silly saying about sticks and stones, my worth is not come from those words.
Hugs to you all! XO -Dom
Yikes, its been too long since i have updated! Here’s a quick on…my cowboy turned 40 on Sunday! He was SO not looking forward to it but it turned out to be a great day! He got to go fishing with most of his family on Saturday and Sunday he bought himself a car!!!! and then we celebrated with banana cream pie and I took him out to a yummy steak house.
He and I on the peir 🙂
Funk star fish
Yummy healthy cookies! Made with real maple syrup instead of sugar. I gave a bunch away (so i didnt eat them all) and everyone LOVED them!
Keeping up with this clean eating thing!
Have a great week! Ill update more later! XO -Dom
What a week! I have this feeling of being defeated but I REFUSE to let that feeling sit around. As those who have been following my blog know I have been interviewing for a new job….still new luck but now I am applying EVERYWHERE So someone has GOT to hire me 🙂
I started a Facebook page specifically for my weight loss journey….I don’t want my friends to get sick of hearing about all ym healthy endeavors unless they so choose….so if r interested here is the link https://www.facebook.com/pages/Saying-Hello-the-Health/228356737323497?ref=hl
I got the most hysterical phone call from the Cowboy on Wednesday morning as I drove to the gym. The little cowgirl had out grown her skinny jeans and he had to CUT, yes CUT them off her. It was my day off so i decided to re-purpose them….
Cute little Booty Bag 🙂
Well folks thats all I have got for now!
This has been a week of trying times….both trying new things and illness in the house which is a trying time
I was so looking forward to spending my last free weekend before my 4th quarter of graduate school doing something fun with the Cowboy, instead he got a horrific cold and spent most of the weekend in bed. I was reluctant to leave him to come to work tonight 😦 Poor dear.
But any way I wanted to share some photos of my week 🙂 First of all I am down 40 lbs and 35 from my goal! Here are some in progress photos cause they keep me motivated and moving in the right direction!
Right before a long walk
I now feel kind of comfortable in skinny jeans 🙂
I was asked to make a backpack for a retired airman! How cool to be able to re-purpose his uniforms and make something special! Here is my sicky “modeling” it for me.
Last night My Cowboy wanted to get out for some fresh air and frozen yogurt (He said his throat was killing him so I thought something cold would help! And mine was sugar free with almonds on top so %100 healthy!!!! ) I dragged him to the park first to get some Vitamin D. He was a trooper for sure,
Here was my view at the park as the sun went down.
And this morning I went for my typical Sunday morning run. On my way down the big hill i saw an AWESOME calk drawing! Check it out
How COOOL is that cause you all know I love my horses!
And i will leave you with this final photo i took on my run! Hugs to you all stay healthy and stay positive! XO -Dom
